Why do so many black men have long fingernails?

Answer:
Why do so many white men have long messy hair? People have different styles depending on a lot of factors such as racial identity, local style, music, friendship bonds(such as gangs, houses, cultural ideas), and region to name a few. Sometimes you may have to ask someone in your own area why something like this is so.

Well, that might be a stereotype. I know some men, not necessarily black men, use their fingernails to pick their teeth (I know that sounds gross, but I've seen it) or some keep their thumb nail long to break open cigars...

yea i kind of noticed that too... i dunno, they keep it clean so it doesnt matter. i keep mine right off the white part. btw, i smoke weed, so i do sometimes keep my nails a bit longer, not saying all black people smoke, but that's one reason i keep it long. some guitar players do also.
